A New Name For Trump's 2024 Campaign.

I am really beginning to get worried that even with all the bullsh*t, bluster, and braggadocio of the past eleven months, that Donald Trump is beginning to fade away and will wind up where every former President winds up, or as Grandpa would say, “en drerd” (read: nowhere.)

Here’s a guy who held more than 150 mass rallies from the time he announced his Presidential run until he was shipped off to Mar-a-Lago on January 20th, and he has held exactly two rallies since that date.

Here’s a guy who dominated every social media platform but now his own website gets less than 10% of the views that it was getting back in May.

Here’s a guy whose views on current legislation are being ignored by the GOP Senate leadership, which has now made three deals with the Democrats over infrastructure, Covid mandates and the debt.

Here’s a guy who still claims to be the GOP leader even though he’s supported in the Senate by far-right members like Ted Cruz, and in the House by Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Lauren Boebert. That’s quite a crew.

But for me, the most distressing news about how Trump is exiting the stage is a report about ticket sales for his ‘History Tour’ with Bill O’Reilly next week are going nowhere, and it looks like the two former media stars are going to be playing to a lot of empty seats.

Excuse my brief digression, but I have a way that this roadshow could actually sell out at every stop.

Recall that O’Reilly was bounced by Fox News after the network got sick and tired of laying out millions to protect him and pay off various sexual harassment suits brought against him over the years. Trump, as we know, got his lawyer, Michael Cohen, to take the rap for illegally paying off women who had accused the boss of engaging in sexual affairs.

Now if O’Reilly and Trump were to put together a program in which they shared their memories of these dalliances with the audiences who are right now ignoring their travelling show, I guarantee you they would sell out every performance, no matter how much they charged.

Anyway, back to the point of this rant.

You see, I really want Trump to head the GOP ticket in 2024. And I want him to push the idea that a vote for him in 2024 will make up for all the votes that were stolen from him the last time around.

If he were to do that, he wouldn’t lose to Joe by seven million votes. He’d probably lose by twice that number, or even more.

It’s getting to the point that in order to represent the GOP in an election, you have to take a picture of yourself and your family sitting around with smiles on everyone’s faces while lifting up their guns. Not one of the children in the photo posted by Boebert is old enough to own a gun, but that’s neither here nor there. She’s just making sure that we all know where she stands.

Boebert obviously posted this picture to make sure that she was aligned with Tom Massie, the member of the House GOP caucus who proudly displayed his family sitting around the Christmas tree with their AR-15’s. Massie is not only Chair of the 2nd-Amendment caucus in the House, he also introduced a bill to lower the age for legal ownership of a handgun from 21 to 18.

There’s still a chance that sanity will reappear within the ranks of the GOP as Trump continues his downward slide. John Yarmuth, who represents Kentucky’s 3rd C.D., posted the picture of Massie on his Twitter and said, “I promise not everyone in Kentucky is an insensitive asshole.”

Maybe that should be the name of Trump’s new political party – the Insensitive Asshole Party or just ISP. I can see those letters replacing MAGA on those hats and t-shirts that Trump will peddle at his rallies in 2024.
